Arranging A Funeral

Our services to you start from the moment you contact us, whether by telephone or calling in personally and often extend way beyond the day of the funeral.

On initial contact we will ask for preliminary details and establish where your loved one has passed away, whether at home, in hospital or in a residential care home. Once instructed, we will bring them into our care and advise you accordingly of your next steps.

There will be a number of decisions that you will need to make when planning a funeral. We will be able to advise you and help you through this emotional time by explaining to you the full range of services that are available, whatever the style.

Thomas Brothers will make arrangements on your behalf with ministers, clergy, celebrants, cemeteries and crematoria, as well as other third parties as required. Our aim is to remove any burden from the families we serve during what is already a traumatic time.

Relatives and friends often wish to visit their loved one and pay their last respects before the day of the funeral. We will only allow this on the specific request of the family.

The care we take of your relative is very important to Thomas Brothers. The last time you saw them may have been a distressing memory, perhaps in hospital or for the purposes of identification. Whatever the circumstances we believe that in asking us to look after a member of your family, you can be certain that they receive the best care and attention, whether you wish to visit them for last goodbyes before the funeral or prefer not to.
